1956 Triton 650cc Cafe Racer based on a 1956 Norton Dominator, with a wideline featherbed frame, and fitted with a Triumph T110 engine. The Triton has had long term ownership, and is really well engineered and sorted, unlike some that are often offered for sale. We’re informed that the engine has fairly high lift cams fitted, either part numbers E3134 or E3325. The twin leading shoe front brake is off an early Norton Commando. The Triton has been converted to 12 volt electrics, with a BTH magneto, and has a Smiths chronometric speedometer and rev counter fitted. The front and rear deep flanged alloy wheel rims are Akront, and have stainless steel spokes fitted. The primary casing has been chromed, and is a nice touch. The Triton currently has swan neck clip-on handlebars fitted, for a more comfortable ride, but the original clip-ons are present. The Triton has been cherished by it’s owner and kept in a heated garage. The petrol has been drained over the winter, and the carburettor drained and cleaned as well. I’m told that this is a formality carried out each year, so the Triton will need some light recommissioning. There is a current V5C registration document present, as well as previous V5 registration documents, old MOT test certificates, and old road tax discs.
