1977 Ducati 900 GTS. This is an original UK bike, registered September 1977. The Ducati has a current V5C registration document present. The previous owner made several changes to the Ducati during his ownership, which are listed below. Fortunately he kept the parts that were taken off, and these are included with the sale of the Ducati (please study the photos). This is the list of work carried out / parts fitted by the previous owner. The frame and swing arm have been shot blasted and powder coated. New front and rear footrest rubbers. Side panel modified for new ignition system. Seat professionally recovered. Original air filters. Rear shock absorbers. Brake hoses. Wheels sandblasted and resprayed with new bearings fitted. Fork legs polished and fresh oil added. headlamp re-chromed. New relay box and wiring repaired where necessary. New rear light unit. Engine work carried out. Roller bearings replaced and oilways cleaned. All gaskets and ‘O’ rings replaced. Replaced broken valve spring. Cleaned corrosion from casings and barrels. Removed electric start and fitted new crankcase complete with bearing, shipped from Australia. Carb floats and gaskets replaced. Replaced bolts with stainless equivalent ones. Stainless steel exhaust fitted (Conti silencers). The previous owner was unable at the time to purchase new piston rings, so the engine was rebuilt with the original ones. The petrol tank has a small weep on the left hand lower corner, so will need a small repair and paint in this area. The The original indicators, rev counter and cable, side stand, and tools under the seat are also present and included with the sale. The Ducati will need a new battery and some recommissioning, as it hasn’t been on the road recently. A nice classic Italian stallion.
