1949 Triumph Speed Twin 500cc tele-rigid with sprung hub. This stunning Triumph retains it’s original registration number, and is sold with a current V5C registration document as well as it’s buff log book, IOM log book, dating certificate and a huge history file. There is also a documented diary for work / parts over the years, and journeys including mileage up to the current mileage of 17,330. The Triumph went to the IOM in 1998, and came back to the UK in 2012. The previous owner even had security DNA microdots and stickers applied to the Triumph. There is a dating certificate present, confirming the Triumph’s frame, engine and gearbox numbers are all matching confirming it’s authenticity. A vast amount of money has been spent over the years on the Triumph, including a full engine rebuild at a cost of over £4,000, and the BTH magneto has been rebuilt and converted to 12 volt electronic ignition at considerable cost. A new battery has been fitted, and all of the electrics work. If your preference is the single seat look, it’s just a case of unfastening a few bolts, and swapping the seats over. These desirable Speed Twin tele-rigids seldom come up for sale, and this one ticks all the boxes. We do have a video of the Triumph running should any interested parties wish to see it.
